Crochet
Tips
If you have any
tips you would like to share please email them to me.
To mark each round
when crocheting without joining you can use a bobby pin, it slides in
and out easily
much easier than a
safety pin.

When working with
dark yarn try to use a light colored hook and wear something light
colored or put a light colored towel on your lap, it helps with the
darkness and decreases in eye strain at all.

When crocheting
baby items or any items, when you put them aside to work on them later
if you put a fabric softener sheet with them, they give a wonderful
scent. Especially the baby blankets. I use Bounce with
Febreeze. Plus I enjoy smelling it when working on the project.

When giving a
crochet item as a gift, always include the laundering instructions.

You can use an old
oatmeal carton with a hole punched in the top for all your small balls
of yarn. Just pull the ends through the hole, and you don't have
to go chasing balls all over the place.

When you begin a
project and then decide to lay it to the side for a while, either keep
your hook with the project or attach a note to the project specifying
the size hook used and if small enough put in a ziplock baggie.

To get rid of the
chain 3 to start a new row. You can see that all the way up your
project. Yarn over twice then go through the intended space and work it
like a double crochet. It works great and no one can tell where you
began.
